Black Pearl work with partner organisations when recruiting and training new operatives. New operatives will be asked to cover the associated cost of any training they may need. The details for this are agreed between the individual operative and the training provider. Black Pearl purely acts as the intermediary and has no monetary involvement in this process.

Marine firefighting is the active or emergency response to fires onboard ships or fires associated with waterborne vessels such as: Bulk Carriers, Oil Tanker Fleets, Ro-Ro Fleets, Passenger Vessels, Freight Vessels, Cargo Vessels & Oil Rig Platforms.
The Unicorn Training School, situated in Durban on the east coast of South Africa, is a registered establishment that conducts courses required by the marine and allied industries. The School is accredited by SAMSA (South African Marine Safety Authority) and recognized by the MCA. Since 1975 the School has trained both seafarers and personnel for shore based sectors of trade. The school is not restricted by the Prospectus and courses can be tailor-made to suit requirements. The co-ordination centre at the School takes bookings and arranges a variety of courses at various other training institutions for example GMDSS.
